Welcome to the GP Centre, North Cheam. We provide a friendly learning environment experience with protected learning time for our GP Registrars. The practice is committed to delivering high quality education to all staff and is committed to the learning and development of all the staff. We provide personal medical services to our registered population. The doctors offer a wide range of extra services including Ante Natal, Post Natal, Child Health Surveillance, Acupuncture and Minor Surgery. We also offer nurse run clinics including Minor Illness, Asthma, Diabetes, CHD Prevention, Travel Clinic, Family Planning and Well Woman. The practice serves a population of 5,250 patients and is located in modern, purpose built premises in North Cheam with an on-site pharmacy. The practice is situated in a pleasant suburban area, close to local parks, good schools and excellent transport links. The practice works very closely with two other practices within the GP Centre. The Management, Administration and Nursing teams support all three practices providing flexibility to employ a wider range of support staff including Nurses specialising in chronic disease management, Nurse Practitioner and Healthcare Assistant. We are an established GP Training practice for GP Registrars as well as a Nurse training practice. There is a dedicated and fully equipped consulting room for the Registrar including video recording equipment. In our training and conference room there is an extensive library covering the areas relevant to GP Registrars and a range of journals and publications. We have a high usage of IT within the practice and are "paperlight" We aim to fully integrate our registrars into the practice team and encourage them to attend the practice meetings and participate in practice projects and initiatives. Our out of hours care is provided by Croydoc. In July 2005 our practice won the ‘Investor in People’ award. Please see: http://www.gpcentre.co.uk/
